We live our lives searching for what we already had as children but were too undeveloped to know to appreciate. Not to rush through the days, not to take our youth for granted. So of course once we reach a specific age in our elder years we long for days past. Perhaps it's because of the simplicity of those days. I'm not sure why, I just know that we all do it at one point or another.

I lost touch with most my childhood friends primarily because I came out when I was very young. I really didn't fit in with anyone from my childhood because they were all straight, except Paula Wolf. Amongst all the kids I grew up with there was always one who never cared and loved me and supported me no matter what. That person was Anne McLinden. As part of the 'Second Avenue Gang' she truly was the best of all of us. I can not find one thing to say about Anne that is negative. She was always so kind and loving to everyone. She had a smile that warmed your heart and made you feel truly welcome.

My heart is broken and I am so devistated by your loss Anne. I will miss you so much. Im grateful to God for the time we shared and for bringing you back into my life. I hope that I can bring some of what Anne gave to all of us through this memorial and tribute site I am creating for her.
